Xiaomi 15 Pro Allegedly Spotted: New Camera Design and Specs Revealed

A recent sighting of what appears to be the Xiaomi 15 Pro has surfaced online, thanks to a post by a Weibo user. The shared image, which shows Xiaomi vice president Wang Xiaoyan holding the device, gives a glimpse of the smartphone’s camera setup.

At first glance, the phone might be confused with its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. However, a key distinguishing feature is the placement of the LED flash, which has now been moved outside the camera island.

This specific design change was previously highlighted in renders of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, leaked by That_Kartikey earlier this month.

Reports suggest that this updated camera layout was essential to fit the phone’s new 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This telephoto lens is equipped with a 5x telemacro feature and has a minimum focus distance of 30cm. Accompanying this are two additional 50MP sensors for the primary and ultra-wide cameras. All three cameras, as with previous models, will use lenses co-developed with Xiaomi’s long-time partner, Leica.

Rumors also indicate that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will boast a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 2k resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to feature a 32MP front camera for selfies, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and storage options reaching up to 1TB.

Additionally, its battery is expected to have a capacity of 6,000mAh, supporting 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

As for design, the phone is expected to come in black, white, silver, and a limited-edition titanium variant.
