iPhone SE 4 Set for Launch Next Year: Face ID and No Home Button
The future of the iPhone SE 4 has seen several shifts over the past year. Initially, it was rumored to be just a prototype, but later reports suggested it might include features like the Action button, similar to other current iPhone models. Now, a more recent update indicates that the iPhone SE 4 is on track for release, with production reportedly “nearing.”
According to Bloomberg, the iPhone SE 4, codenamed V59, will abandon its traditional design with the home button. As a result, the device will adopt Face ID for authentication.
Additionally, the report highlights that the phone will feature Apple Intelligence. Design-wise, it is expected to closely resemble the iPhone 14, complete with the notch, aligning with earlier render-based leaks.
A refresh of the iPad Air is also mentioned in the report, with two models under the codenames J607 and J637. These will be paired with updated Magic Keyboards, labeled R307 and R308, incorporating some new features previously introduced in the iPad Pro versions.
Both the iPhone SE 4 and the iPad Air 7, along with their updated Magic Keyboards, are expected to debut early next year. While internal upgrades are anticipated for the iPad, specific details were not provided. Similarly, information about the chipset powering the iPhone SE 4 remains unclear.
