Oppo K12 Plus Launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 120Hz Display, and 6,400 mAh Battery

As expected, Oppo has officially unveiled the Oppo K12 Plus in China. The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, offering up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. If more storage is needed, users can expand it by up to 1TB via a microSD card. It operates on ColorOS 14, based on Android 14, though Oppo has not confirmed how many software updates the device will receive in the future.

Display

The K12 Plus features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen boasts a peak brightness of 1,100 nits and supports wet touch control. Oppo also highlights its self-developed shock-absorbing diamond structure and an airbag-style design to offer enhanced protection against drops.

Camera and Photography

For photography enthusiasts, the Oppo K12 Plus is equipped with a triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. It also features an AI eraser tool and a fun option to create custom emojis by cutting out people, pets, or objects from photos.

Battery and Charging

A robust 6,400 mAh battery powers the Oppo K12 Plus, supporting 80W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. According to Oppo, the battery can be charged up to 50% in just 20 minutes using the 80W charger.

Additional Features

Other notable features of the Oppo K12 Plus include an X-axis linear motor for immersive 4D vibrations during gaming, dual speakers, NFC, an infrared blaster, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP54 water and dust resistance, and 5G connectivity. The phone also has a 4,129mm² liquid-cooled VC heat dissipation system, 120 FPS gaming support for select titles, and even an offline chat function that allows users to communicate with nearby friends without network access.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo K12 Plus is available in two color options—white and black. It comes in three different memory configurations:

  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: priced at CNY1,899 ($270/€245/INR22,610)
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: priced at CNY2,099 ($300/€270/INR24,990)
  • 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: priced at CNY2,499 ($355/€325/INR29,755)

Pre-orders are open on Oppo’s official website, with sales starting on October 15.
