The Realme 7i is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme. It was announced in September 2020 and released in October 2020. In this review, I’ll be sharing my first impressions and providing an unbiased assessment of its design, performance, camera, and more.
REALME 7I DETAILS
The Realme 7i features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, paired with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The Realme 7i has a quad-camera setup on the back, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The Realme 7i runs on Android 10 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
Pros and Cons
When considering purchasing a new smartphone, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons of the device to determine if it’s the right fit for you. The Realme 7i mid-range smartphone is no exception. Here are a few pros and cons to keep in mind:
- Large 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate
- Good performance for a mid-range smartphone
- Decent quad-camera setup on the back
- Large 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging
- Affordable price point
- HD+ resolution may not be sharp enough for some users
- The plastic build may not feel as premium as other smartphones
- No NFC support
- No support for 5G connectivity
The Realme 7i is a solid mid-range smartphone with a large display, good performance, and a decent camera setup. Its large battery and fast charging capabilities make it a good option for heavy users, while its affordable price point is attractive for budget-conscious buyers.
However, its HD+ resolution and plastic build may not be as sharp or premium as some other smartphones on the market, and its lack of 5G connectivity may also be a dealbreaker for some. Overall, the Realme 7i is a good choice for those seeking a solid mid-range smartphone at an affordable price.
